The Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP) Online class

Teaches unlicensed staff members to safely administer medications in certain settings where it's authorized by law. This course does not lead to certification or licensure. You will be considered "Qualified" to administer medications.

The QMAP online class is not encouraged for individuals that

  • Are not strong english speakers
  • Are not comfortable with online learning
  • Have difficulty with math


This class is a hybrid format comprised of an online section and a classroom section.

Part 1 - QMAP Online
  • This section is a series of online learning modules, practice exercises and review questions.
  • You will receive instructions on how to access the online section in the confirmation email.
The QMAP Online course must be completed prior to your class date.
 
At the end of the online course the online completion certificate will be emailed to you. Print and bring this with you to class or forward the email to info@edcor.net prior to the class.
 
Part 2 - Classroom Session
  • Students will be provided with a QMAP reference card that is allowed to be used during the testing.
  • This section has a 1 hour review and question session at the start and then has the written test and hands on testing.
  • Being on time to this class is imperative. Students will not be allowed into the class once testing has started.

Student Manual

The student manual is not required for the online class. If you would like a student manual you can select to have it added to your registration. The printed manual can be picked up at the EdCor Lakewood office or mailed to you. The online version (currently a pdf) will be emailed to you.

Pre-requisites

  • Students must, read, write and speak English.
  • Students should have basic math skills.
  • Student must bring a valid photo ID to the class
  • Student must complete the QMAP online prior to the classroom portion

This course does not lead to certification or licensure. You will be considered "Qualified" to administer medications.

Upon succesful completion of the class students receive a certificate of completion and are added to the State of Colorado QMAP registry.

Registrations for discounted Employer\Groups is verified with the Employer\Group.
If you select an Employer\Group for which you are not authorized for or the invoice is denied by the organization, you are responsible for the class fees.

Please choose from the following items. Students are not required to have a student manual for the hybrid class. It is available for students who want the additional materials to help them with the online modules and to prepare for the written test and hands-on testing. You are not allowed to use the manual during the testing. Unless shipping is selected items are available for pickup at the EdCor Lakewood office or at the start of class. For items to be shipped you must register for the class at least 7 business days prior to the class. Items are shipped via USPS.

 

Corporate\Direct Bill Students

  • If you are affiliated with a Employer or Group that has a contracted rate or allows for direct billing.
  • Select the appropriate selection within the Registration Type.
  • This will display the contracted price or the deposit amount based upon selected Employer\Group. If the Employer\Group allows for direct billing, your payment\deposit will be refunded to you when you show up to the class and the Employer\Group will be invoiced.
  • If the invoice is denied or rejected by the Employer\Group you are responsible for payment and all materials
  • If you select an Employer\Group for which you are not authorized for, you are responsbile for payement for the class and all materials.

Class Materials (manuals, online key codes)

  • Class materials if needed can be purchased while registering for the class.
  • You can bring an existing manual to class if have one or your facility has them available.
  • If you do not purchase the required materials or have them available at class and pick them at class or have them sent to you at the class, if you have a card on file the charges will be charged to the card on file. If you do not have a card on file you will be sent an invoice, we are not able to issue certifications when there is an outstanding balance.

 If your schedule changes please contact EdCor as early as possible to avoid any fees and to allow the slot in the class to be opened to another student.
