Heartsaver Direct\On-Demand Adult CRP\AED and First-Aid class

The Heartsaver Direct\On-Demand Adult CPR\AED and First-Aid class is a blended learning class. Students complete the online modules consisting of video lessons, learning lessons and sims online and then attend a hands-on portion using a manikin training station.

The class is geared towards students with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion certification for CPR, AED and or First-Aid to meet job regulatory and or other requirements.

The class is also available to the general public for anyone wanting CPR, AED and First-Aid training.

The course teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive.

Course Content

  • CPR and AED use for adults, infants and children
  • How to treat bleeding
  • How to treat sprains
  • How to treat broken bones
  • How to treat shock and other first aid emergencies

Students are required to complete the AHA Heartsaver online prior to being able to sign into the automated manikin system to complete the Hands-On component. 

  • The access code for the online module is included in the course registration fee and will be sent by EdCor to your email upon registering and payment for the class. The email comes from elearning@heart.org. 
  • The hands-on component with the manikin training station is ~30 minutes

Successful students receive an AHA eCertification valid for two years. The certification will be issued to the email you use to register for the class.

Corporate and Direct Bill Students

  • If you are affiliated with a Employer or Group that has a contracted rate or allows for direct billing.
  • Select the appropriate selection within the Registration Type.
  • This will display the contracted price or the deposit amount based upon selected Employer or Group. If the Employer or Group allows for direct billing, your payment, deposit will be refunded to you when you show up to the class and the Employer or Group will be invoiced.
  • If the invoice is denied or rejected by the Employer or Group you are responsible for payment and all materials
  • If you select an Employer or Group for which you are not authorized for, you are responsbile for payement for the class and all materials.

Class Materials (manuals, online key codes)

  • Class materials if needed can be purchased while registering for the class.
  • You can bring an existing manual to class if have one or your facility has them available.
  • If you do not purchase the required materials or have them available at class and pick them at class or have them sent to you at the class, if you have a card on file the charges will be charged to the card on file. If you do not have a card on file you will be sent an invoice, we are not able to issue certifications when there is an outstanding balance.

 If your schedule changes please contact EdCor as early as possible to avoid any fees and to allow the slot in the class to be opened to another student.
